Before you can view the content which is present in the site they will ask you to register and become a member of their site.But this will affect indexing of their site by google.
we will be entering in the website pretending we are googlebots(Googlebots are spiders used by google to crawl a website.) so we may not require to register.
Below is the step by step method explaining how you can pretend to be Googlebots and enter in a password protected website.This method require firefox ,if you are not having it you can download it from here.
1. Open firefox and download and install User agent Switcher Plugin .
2. After installing restart firefox and goto Tools>Default User Agent>User Agent Switcher>Options>New>New User Agent.A new window will open in that select User Agent and then select add.
3. Add User Agent window will open in the description write Googlebot and in User Agent write Googlebot/2.1+(+http://www.google.com/bot.html)” and then press ok.Now you can visit password protected sites without registering.
