How to Start your own food Business in India(Restaurant)

I will decided to continue my #startupindia Topic Series with the most important business type called food industry....

Do you want to be a part of #Startup India and don't want to lose at very first attempt then
please take my advice to think about opening a Fast food Restaurant in India!!

According to WFO India is one of the largest food consuming country in terms of street foods!!
Indian Food Restaurant Business is must to think business in current scenario because we Indian love
to eating out for any occasion! As we know all India is a large country with bio-diversity and adversity in their food habits is also seen!

As the Indian peoples love to eat at any place (we appreciate food taste not much think about hygiene) but we love
to eat good taste food either from street or from a luxuries   hotel at any place. We are fond of good food and
always love to make other flavor copiloted  with our local food...for example : Chinese Fast Food like Noodles, Manchurian and many more has become Desi flavored items and reached at every direction in India. American fast food giant McDonald's also serving their pizzas and burgers with Indian flavor to reach Indian customers easily.
One Last thing Indian Food Industry is the second largest industry in India who have continually growing higher and higher regardless of any crisis in the world.

My personal suggestion for young entrepreneurs who want to start a business in India(#startupindia) must have to think about opening a Fast food Giant Business in any city or place according to their need.

Today I will share some Rules and regulations for registering a Fast food Business or Restaurant in India!

Advice I: Select Location Wisely: As we all know about importance of Fast Food Business Location my advice is to
Select most crowded or High potential location where foot fall is tremendous  and great chance of having bright startup business.

Advice II: Pick Restaurant Type: Please Select your Fast food Restaurant nature i.e. Pick n Drive, Sit and Eat, Order N Parcel. 
 
Advice III: Build a world class Interior/Exterior: Today every place is rated according to its looks first then its
taste so my advice to invest a handsome amount for your Designing part which would be look classy and well maintained.

Advice IV: Acquire License and permits from govt bodies: In India there are various Rules and regulations are imposed on food industry so I will have a list of license and permits you have to acquire before proceeding into these business..

a) Business License: you may acquire a sole proprietorship / partnership/Company Registration for your business name.
b) Food License: you have to take a FOOD SAFETY License from local food inspector for opening a restaurant at any city. Along with that you also have to acquire a health license regarding hygiene of food product you offered.
c)If you has chosen Sit and Eat model then you have to take Eating house license from same Food Inspector of your local area.
d)Fire Safety: you must ensure local government bodies about fire safety measurement you had taken for your restaurant.
5) Liquor Serving License : If you want to offer Liquor at your restaurant then please take a license for it.

Legal Documents Required for Start a Restaurant Business in India

So India Following License are Required for Starting a Food Restaurant in India.
1. Food Safety License
2. Health/Trade License
3. Eating House License
4. Environmental Clearance
5. NOC from Fire Department
6. Signage License.
7. Liquor License L-4 (L-17 according to new excise rule)
8. Playing of Music in Restaurants.
9. Life License.
10. Insurance – Public Liability, Product Liability, Fire Policy, Building & Asset.
11. Shop and Establishment Act.
12. Nominations under PFA Act 1954 Section 17 (2) and rule 12 B of the rules 1955.



 One more key Regulation: you can't hire a child (age less than 14 year)at any place in any condition.

After acquiring these licenses you will authorized to open a Fast food restaurant at any Indian place but you have to maintain cleanness and hygiene because Food safety department may visit surprise at any point of time to check# !

After having all needful license and permissions you will open your fast food restaurant and it will be scaled up according to your niche and exposure to local peoples.
